Kenya  was born in Nassau but having resided in Abaco 30 years,  she calls Abaco home. She was employed by the Bahamas Disaster Reconstruction Agency as a Lead Agent in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Dorian,  working to provide disaster relief and to commence with rebuilding efforts on Great Abaco Island. She is a Certified Insurance Agent having served the Abaco community in that capacity for 28 years, and  the co-owner of a private transportation business. Kenya is a christian, a wife, and mother, and an active board member of First Assemblies of God church.
