Making a Difference …

It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas in Abaco with a golf cart parade, Christmas tree lighting, and a joyful visit from Santa. Thank you to our sponsors,  and everyone that purchased a gift from our Amazon Wish List or made a donation. With your help we were able to distribute over 200 Christmas Presents to the children in Abaco, along with 90 Gift Baskets for our Senior Citizens, 80 baseball gloves, and 70 pairs of cleats. Perhaps more importantly, we saw our community working together  to create an amazing celebration and a magical Christmas for our children.

…One Step at a Time

This is going to be a great year, and we are off to a good start. We are sharing some pictures below of the progress on The Bathroom Restoration Project at The Murphy Town Field for Abaco Youth Baseball, the Restoration of The Community Center in Treasure Cay, and the success of our Backyard Farmers who are growing like crazy.

The Treasure Cay Community Center is Getting a Facelift!
Our community truly came together last Saturday, with 50 plus volunteers to paint our community buildings including The Community Center, The Medical Clinic, and The Parsonage. A huge thank you to Behr Paint Corporation for sponsoring this project,  A warm thank you to Café La Florence for the wonderful donation of cinnamon buns. A huge heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, to Stacy Phillips and Chris Basja for coordinating, and Dan Proctor for his heroic efforts in making this all come together.

BackYard Farmers Are Growing Like Crazy
At the start of the growing season, we supplied our Backyard Farmers with seeds, pots, potting mix, fertilizer, and topsoil. They have been working hard and it is safe to say that they are literally reaping the  fruits of their labor. Eliminating Food Insecurity is a high priority for Abaco Strong in 2022. Backyard Farming increases self sufficiency and sustainability during these unprecedented times and increasing food costs.

As always, feel free to contact us at Let us know if you would like to be involved and how we can help. Thank you for your support.
